Guided by a creative philosophy inspired by indigenous lore which he calls Brandinkra, Nana has honed his observational skills and evolved his inquiring approach resulting in an aesthetic that is graphic, simmers with power and is both personal yet accessible.
His visions tell of Africa’s ‘future history’: beautiful unvarnished tales using bold and simple compositions that explore ideas of what it means to be a ‘new African’.
